Lisa Taylor-Swanson, PhD, LAc, is a dedicated women’s health researcher and licensed acupuncturist who is passionately committed to promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion in healthcare for midlife women. As an Assistant Professor in the College of Nursing (CON) at the University of Utah (UU), she works to improve women’s health during the menopausal transition, ensuring equitable access to high-quality healthcare that integrates evidence-based biomedical and integrative healthcare approaches.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Taylor-Swanson\u2019s pioneering research is rooted in a community-engaged approach that developed MENOGAP, designed to fill a GAP in MENOpausal women\u2019s healthcare. She is currently collaborating with Latina Community Health Workers (funded by the UU 1U4U initiative) and American Indian\/Alaska Native women (funded by the UU Vice President for Research) to adapt MENOGAP to their unique needs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Recognized for her dedication to interdisciplinary research, Dr. Taylor-Swanson received the Excellence in University Health Partnership Award from the CON and earned a nomination to the Society for Acupuncture Research board of directors. She was most recently selected as the recipient of the UU\u2019s 2023 Leadership in Inclusive Excellence Awards: Faculty. Her tireless efforts drive positive change in women\u2019s health and promote diversity and inclusivity within healthcare.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
